WAH with slim lead heading into Round 3

AADL-GT Pad Logo

With all Clan Bonuses awarded, we have an incredibly tight race for the top of the Clan Standings, as Clan We Are Hard comes from nowhere to take a miniscule 8-point lead over Turtle Clan. WAH's meteoric rise was the big story of round 2, as [gtplayer:504] shot up to 2nd place on the Leaderboard, still almost 400 points behind [gtplayer:143]. However, it was WAH's savvy acquisition of emerging Melee titans The Royster Brothers (#5 [gtplayer:614] and #6 [gtplayer:606]), and their 5850 points, that enabled WAH to catapult into first place after winning the Round 2 Clan Battle with a somewhat anticlimactic match of F-Zero GX. This past weekend's tournaments included the AADL-GT 2006 Season Opener, and to the Turtles did go the spoils as the Savage Brothers and Turtle Clan flew to the top of the season leadboard, with [gtplayer:143] taking first place in both the single-player and team Mario Kart events, [gtplayer:146] making his way to the finals 3 times, and both of them leading their Clan to victory in the first ever Clan Battle. It's been a long, long, off-season, but the wait is almost over. The AADL-GT Super Smash Double Dash Championship Series returns with our PRESEASON EVENT next SUNDAY, July 23rd, from Noon-5 PM at the Downtown Library. Registration is now open! This year, we've got several changes to the system planned, the biggest of which being MORE PRIZES! Each Gamecube Tournament will consist of 4 events: Super Smash Bros Free-For-All, Super Smash Bros. Team Battle, Mario Kart Single-Player Race, and Mario Kart Coop Team Race. The top 3 finishers from each event will take home giftcard prizes: $40 for 1st, $30 for 2nd, and $20 for 3rd. For Team Events, the teams will split that prize (you'll each get your own giftcard). So, if you manage to win all 4 events, you could walk home with $120 just from a single tournament!

As always, winning any single event qualifies you for the Grand Championship in december, where you'll have your shot at winning a DS, an iPod, or (hopefully) a BRAND-NEW NINTENDO WII! Read on for details about the the upcoming season...

Its summer.. and the only gaming going on right now is PokeMonday, so here's some filler! GameSpot held a little poll to see what the best games for the NES were. Here's the article with Reader comments on each game. From the responses I've read, some people find the lack of Kid Icarus and River City Ransom disturbing.
