Kid Bits - Stone Soup

Ms. Rachel told Asian stories this week at Malletts Creek Branch. Storytime included The Real Story Of Stone Soup from China, and "Grateful Statues" from Japanese Children's Favorite Stories. You can learn more about Jizo which is the Buddhist protector of children, women, and travellers. You can see images of statues too.

Silly Songs and Stories

I am really looking forward to silly singing and storytelling with my talented banjo buddy, Noah Haiduc-Dale, on December 29 at 10 am at the Downtown Library. We have a ridiculous story/song involving lots of snorts, clucks and quacks, to get the whole family in on the act. Noah has been entertaining us this past session at storytime and we love to march and dance to Jim Gill songs!

You can find We're Going On A Bear Hunt in a book/CD Kit that will lead you on the hunt. You can also hunt bears in Arabic Language and in Urdu.
Teddy Bear Teddy Bear is a classic jump-rope rhyme.
