Ann Arbor District Library Telescope Collection

AADL, in partnership with the University Lowbrow Astronomers, is pleased to provide a circulating telescope collection! The Orion Starblast 4.5" Astro Reflector Telescope is the perfect family-friendly scope for entry-level and intermediate astronomy enthusiasts. You can check out telescopes from (and return them to) any branch location. The telescopes circulate for two weeks, with an option for renewal if there are no outstanding requests. Check the AADL catalog for availability.

  • stable base for easy set up and manual tracking of objects
  • 8-24 mm zoom eyepiece to help frame the object for the best view
  • 4.5" aperture and f/4 focal ratio for bright, detailed views of the Moon and planets, as well as wide-field deep space objects like star clusters
