Need a hand with your homework? AADL can help with a variety of services and products offered over the internet or in our library branches. Here are some things from AADL that you can use to get through your next essay, social studies project, or math assignment.

*To use any of our research databases or to use Brainfuse Homework Help you have to log in using you AADL username and password. If you don't already have an aadl.org username, just click register on the login page. Make sure to put in your library card number!

Brainfuse Live Homework Help

Get help with homework or get ahead of the curve with this online tutoring service. Live tutors are available from 2-11 pm every day to teach students in the subject areas of math, English, science, and social studies. Learn more about this service or start trying Brainfuse right now.

AADL partners with the University of Michigan’s Circle K chapter chapter to provide free homework help for school-aged children and teenagers. College student volunteers are available on Wednesdays, 4:00-8:00 PM, in the Downtown Youth Story Corner for drop-in homework help.

How often can a student find a free Tutor whose core academic proficiency has been assessed & has undergone a thorough reference & background check? How often can you find a free tutor who has been trained in research-based teaching methodology & Michigan's state standards? EVERY day from 2 pm-11 pm, from the comfort of your own home with your library card verification. Tutors are for grades 3-12 but can be useful for WCC students, too!

Homework help at AADL

Beginning this Wednesday, September 10, 2008, the Ann Arbor District Library will be partnering with the University of Michigan’s Circle K chapter to provide free homework help for school-aged children and teenagers. Circle K is an international service organization sponsored by Kiwanis International. College student volunteers will be available on Wednesdays, 4:00-8:00 PM, in the Downtown Youth Story Corner for drop-in homework help.

Additionally, AADL offers homework help through Brainfuse, an online resource that provides free, one-on-one homework help and skills building. This service is available between the hours of 2:00PM and 11:00PM, seven days a week. You may access this product remotely or at any of our locations.

Get Homework Help with a Live Tutor

The Library is pleased to offer Brainfuse, a new online tutoring service that matches students with a live tutor for personalized homework help. Just log on to chat one-on-one with a tutor in real time for individual help answering homework questions, building skills in specific subject areas, or writing a better research paper. Tutors (including Spanish-speakers) are available from 2-11 p.m. 7 days a week and help is available for all students, from elementary school through high school and beyond. No appointment is necessary.

You can browse a new subject listing at the top, quickly scroll through a more detailed ABC listing, or jump right to our most popular magazine database. We'll be featuring a selection of databases in the right-hand column, and from the left-hand menu you can now click on A2 Facts for links to interesting facts and statistics about Tree Town.

Available through the AADL Select Sites Libraries heading, the Internet Public Library is always available to quench your midnight AADL cravings. First check out the website’s FAQ to learn about the project’s ten-year history, from its beginnings at the University of Michigan School of Information to its current list of full-time paid staff. Then let your informational cravings take you on an adventure through the IPL’s vast collection of online resources. Just dying to learn more about the 1911 theft of the Mona Lisa? Check out the Art Attack link in the Fine Arts section to unveil a brief history of art theft and forgery. (Bonus: Mona Lisa’s googly eyes roll around in her head as you do so). Stressing over the number of cups in a gallon? Explore the IPL’s Ready Reference collection, which includes an online version of the Information Please Almanac. Sigh with relief upon discovering there are 16, and relax, because this library is always open and ready to help.
