The Online Reference Service of the Ann Arbor District Library is designed to provide brief answers to reference questions.

Who is answering questions?
Staff in the Adult Services Department at the Downtown Branch of the Ann Arbor District Library will be responding to questions received online.

What does it cost and how long will it take?
There is no charge for this service. We will respond to all acceptable queries on the day they are submitted or on the next day. If you need an immediate response, please contact your local library location. It is not possible to check on the status of a submitted question by phone. If you have not received a response within three business days, you may resubmit your question using the form.

You may also phone us for answers to brief, factual questions. Most questions are answered in 3 to 5 minutes. (We encourage you to visit the Library for extended research questions.)
