The boardgame Diplomacy was created by Allan Callhamer and published in 1959. Since then it has become popular around the world. The game is set in the years leading up to World War I with 7 European powers jockeying for power on the board. Alliances are made and broken and you never know who you can rely on. There are no dice, no cards, and nothing left to chance, except the fickle hearts of the other players.
