Anonymous author of new President Obama novel is revealed

After just a few weeks of speculation, Time Magazine confirms that Mark Salter a speechwriter and adviser for Senator John McCain, is the author of O: A Presidential Novel, a less-than-flattering picture of President Obama's successful 2008 election campaign

For awhile, speculation ran with the notion that it was a White House insider, but Mark Halperin, senior political analyst for Time, confirmed today that Salter was the author. Halperin said Salter was hiding in plain sight, as Salter's distinctive writing style (he does love adjectives) was apparent in the novel. Also, there are enough McCain campaign insider anecdotes that point to Salter.

This latest revelation is sure to fuel the ongoing debate about Sen. McCain's 2008 election defeat.
