Exploring Contemporary Disabilitiy Studies

This Friday, April 16, 4-6 pm, Vandenberg Room at the Michigan League, a panel with Anna Kirkland (Women’s Studies), Tobin Siebers (English) and Petra Kuppers (English, Women’s Studies, Dance) will discuss autism, pain and the arts from a disability perspective. This event is sponsored by the University of Michigan Initiative on Disability Studies, which “views people with disabilities not as objects but as producers of knowledge whose common history has generated a wide variety of art, music, literature, and science infused with the experience of disability.”
