Leaving the key in the door she bent down to look. The papers were not there. The door had been opened. She had distinctly remembered leaving the papers on her desk, but they weren’t there anymore. Someone had clearly been in her office - someone not welcomed. She suddenly got a very uneasy and eerie feeling. Her heart started pounding and she began to sweat. She turned around and proceeded to walk quickly out the door. After walking all the way to the front of the building, she finally calmed down. She wondered what on Earth had happened to her papers. Had someone taken them? What were the dark spots on the floor near her desk? Should she be worried? She decided to go back in the morning to check things out when it was light outside and there were people around. She had convinced herself she was safe, but when she laid down that night to try to sleep, she couldn’t help but worry about what she’d seen.
