Description
Imagine walking across a forest path perfumed by the smell of moss, moist earth, and fallen leaves. This delightful aromatic mélange is found in oakmoss absolute, an ingredient that is derived from a type of lichen used in perfumery.
Oakmoss defines the “chypre” category of perfumes, which includes memorable classics such as Mitsouko by Guerlain, Miss Dior by Christian Dior, and Chanel No. 19. We’ll explore these classic scents as well as modern chypre perfumes that elevate the art of perfumery with their haunting radiant beauty. Chypre perfumes are the perfect antidote for cold autumn days that foretell the arrival of winter—which is where the calendar falls for this Smell & Tell. There will be special baked treats to complement the theme of the evening from Big City Small World Bakery
