Description
Sewing instructor Nettie Tiso will be here lead you through this skill session and to help troubleshoot your projects. This week we'll practice useful sewing skills like measuring, cutting, pleating, hemming, and top stitching to create an original wearable accessory item. Choose one from a variety of options that all share a common shape, the rectangle. Whether it be a bowtie for your cat, a belt or necktie to accessorize your favorite outfit, a headband, or a new strap for your favorite satchel – learn some simple tricks for sewing everyday accessories. We'll have variety of plain and printed fabrics to choose from, or bring your own!
Do you already know how to sew and want to hang out, too? Bring a UFO with you! As in, an unfinished object that you’ve been meaning to work on. Use our machines or bring your own for an evening of community sewing!
