Description
Ever look into an aquarium and stare mesmerized at the colors, movement and dynamics of all the tropical fish swimming around? We will talk about the way that compositional elements are key to creating a scene when there are a lot of shapes and forms involved. How does one create a focus? What catches your eye in your composition and how to use color, form, and shape to create a center of attention? We will learn the dynamics of patterns and texture in context. What fun as we fill the page with the all of those underwater creatures in their world of underwater beauty!
True creativity comes from the mastery of core skills combined with original thought! Join Young Rembrandts teachers on Saturdays in September and October for directed drawing that gives young students instruction on how to break down complex images into simple ones. Students will explore many different techniques and art tools (colored pencil, pastel, and marker) while learning the drawing skills that lay the foundation for all visual arts. Illustration, design, fine art composition, and cartooning will be covered.
