According to the American Cancer Society, prostate cancer is the most common cancer among men (after skin cancer), but it can often be treated successfully. More than 2 million men in the US count themselves as prostate cancer survivors.

Learn more at this informative evening as Dr. Ganesh S. Palapattu discusses prostate cancer with a focus on the risks and benefits of screening. He will also discuss current research involving the causes, prevention, and treatment.

Dr. Palapattu is Associate Professor and Chief of Urologic Oncology at the University of Michigan Health System. His work seeks to improve the outcomes of men with prostate cancer with special focus on the evaluation and management of men with high risk prostate cancer. He is an expert in robotic surgery for prostate cancer as well as nerve-sparing techniques to optimize functional recover after surgery.
