Faithless, just released on August 30, is the latest suspense thriller from Karin Slaughter that features medical examiner Sara Linton and her ex-husband, police chief Jeffrey Tolliver. This series is set in Grant County, Georgia – a small, sleepy backwood kind of a place where enough violence and tragedy keep them busy.
Slaughter’s “Southern sensibilities, combined with compelling characters, detailed descriptions of crime scenes and psychological tension” have many critics picked her as heir apparent to Patricia Cornwell.
