Celebrate Ghana!

The amazing Kofi Ameyaw will be kicking off our Ghana Family Cultural Celebration on Sunday, January 18 at 2:00 pm at the Downtown Library. Kofi will perform on the Gyil and then teach older children and adults how to play the “CasCas”. We are making African masks and collages with Adinkra symbols and wild jungle paper! Kofi’s family is in on the act with a little snack for all!

Awesome! I'm going to try
Awesome! I'm going to try and make this one. I just watched an Anthony Bourdain show on Ghana last night (which definitely wet my appetite for more) and I heard Kofi play in Detroit last summer. He is a wonderful and spirited musician. What a fun day ahead.
