The Pixies are an iconic and fearless American alternative rock band formed in Boston, Massachusetts in 1986. When these college rock darlings broke up in 1992, their fans were shocked and dismayed. But when band members Black Francis, Joey Santiago, Kim Deal, and David Lovering reunited in 2004, those same fans and legions of new listeners were ecstatic, and filled with high hopes that the Pixies would claim their status as phenoms in the history of rock.
