Then witness a hungry female grizzly hunting for elk calves, while the mother bison butts the bear and attempts to save her baby. As autumn moves into winter, some bison break through the ice and drown. An early-emerging grizzly pulls a large bison carcass out of the water onto the ice with great difficulty
