A Classic, Still Great Read submitted by ksullivan on August 23, 2022, 3:42pm This is a book that I have loved and repeatedly read since late kindergarten (Okay, for a few years I had it read to me, but by first grade I read this book by myself in any spare time I had). Some things should possibly be censored, because it was written almost 100 years ago, but nothing serious, really. Tommy Stubbins is a great main character, and though it is told by Tommy's perspective, the author still depicts the great Dr Dolittle's personality perfectly, or, that's my opinion, at least. I love this book, though an old-timey representation of Indigenous peoples. A must-read for kids and adults like! Definitely check this book out, for old times sake!
