Well done!

Beautiful animation and sweet story of a ship-wrecked man on a tropical island. Ocean & bird sounds with some grunts & groans...but only ONE word "Hey" said throughout. No dialogue, yet many emotions conveyed.
Three adults, ages 29-67 watched together and we all thought it was very good. Would love to watch with a toddler to see their understanding of it.
The Red Turtle submitted by a2sue on August 25, 2017, 11:12pm Watching the film The Red Turtle was an interesting experience, since there was no dialogue -- unique!!
Dreamy submitted by mandevil on December 13, 2017, 11:23am Slow paced and dreamy. Good for a lazy snow day
Ghibli submitted by kbahleda on July 23, 2018, 9:18am Slow movie but still a Ghibli so a must watch.
The Red Turtle submitted by juliahoelzle on August 25, 2019, 3:17pm "The Red Turtle" is the story of a mythical interaction between a great red sea turtle and a ship-wrecked man. It contains almost no human dialogue, but don't let that turn you away. Watching this film, you get to experience their lifetimes not through spoken word, but the sounds of the tropical island environment, natural body language and your own intuition, making it a deep and lasting viewing experience. You should watch this film, especially if you are a fan of animation or art :)
