From dating dilemmas to career conundrums, the recently engaged Ted and his feisty friends find themselves at the crossroads of young adult life. While newlyweds Marshall and Lily contemplate parenthood, single gal Robin explores the advantages of having 'friends with benefits.' Meanwhile, the irrepressible, opinionated Barney continues his hilariously dogged pursuit of the fairer sex. As for Ted, his Miss Right is out there, but amid bar brawls, blizzards, and buck-naked strangers, how will he ever find her?
DVD, NTSC, widescreen (1.78:1); Dolby Digital 5.1 surround.

Best Season so Far submitted by steeny17 on June 30, 2019, 2:10pm SO many good episodes in this season! I can't wait to see what comes next.

The High Point submitted by Meginator on June 23, 2021, 5:53pm Watching this season in retrospect feels a little bittersweet, as it is the show’s high point. The season provides Ted with some important personal milestones (actually important, not Ted-believes-they-are-important) and sets up some important storylines for everyone else that will play out, for better and worse, throughout the remainder of the show. Strangely for how consistently solid it is, the season only has a couple of standout episodes, although this also points to its strength: the group and the storylines just click and don’t need a bunch of gimmicks to hang together (although callbacks and gimmicks do move the episodes along nicely and pave over some rough patches). Overall, this season has the right blend of character development and wacky fun, with everyone involved hitting their stride and creating a satisfying season of sitcom television.
