Highly recommended submitted by Susan4Pax -prev. sueij- on June 21, 2019, 10:49pm I’m not that much of a sports fan, but I love a good story, and _Friday Night Lights_ is a great story. It details a small Texas town and their love affair with their high school football team… but in a way that takes a solid look at the players, the school, gender, race, economics (inside the town, between the town and its nearest neighbor, in Texas, and through decades of oil booms and busts), and just about every other dynamic there is. I was absolutely pulled in. Highly recommended.
