Hilarious submitted by eileenw on June 23, 2016, 1:14pm Every food in the fridge loves bacon, the ones on the counter and table, too. Then bacon's fame goes to his head and bacon starts to act like, well . . . a jerk. I assumed bacon would reconcile with his old friends from the fridge (whom he ditched for groupies and cooler food-friends once he became famous), but I was surprised and delighted that bacon's end was *not* sappy or contrived. There's plenty of jokes that older audiences will enjoy in this vibrantly colored picture book, and it provides a great opportunity to discuss humility, bragging/unattractive behaviors with young readers while reading it to them.
