Criminal Defense For All--Thriller submitted by Coffeebuzz on July 10, 2016, 8:12am Sebastian Rudd, the narrator, is a criminal defense attorney. He takes on cases both popular and unpopular. He isn't greedy and has a sliding scale on his fees. Grisham does a good job of keeping him on the line between right and wrong. There are a lot of do-the-ends-justify-the-means moments. I enjoyed the plot twists and the ability to look over Rudd's shoulder throughout the story. He is an engaging fictional character doing things I would never do. I found it hard to put the book down.

My only criticism was that I felt the book ended abruptly with a lot of loose ends. I would definitely recommend this book to people who like a legal tone to their street thrillers. It is a little more "raw" then what I normally read but there is a confidence to the main character that carries the story.
