Beautiful whiplash submitted by terpsichore17 on August 30, 2019, 11:14pm Voces8 is gorgeous, and Andrea Haines's voice is a gift.

I do have to note that going from Lauridsen's "O Nata Lux" to Ben Folds' "The Luckiest" prompted the biggest "Baroo?!" of confusion ever, but that said, it was also profoundly moving. "The Luckiest" is already a heart-wringing, so to set it among all that sacred music turns its emotional effect up a few more degrees.

And all of this is leaving aside the effect of the other pieces. Their performance of Allegri, of Rachmaninov, of Tallis: they're all so delicate and ethereal and balanced.
