Read by the author.
A radically empathetic look at public shaming, and shaming as a form of social control. It has become such a big part of our lives it has begun to feel weird and empty when there isn₂t anyone to be furious about. Whole careers are being ruined by one mistake. A transgression is revealed. Our collective outrage at it has the force of a hurricane. Then we all quickly forget about it and move on to the next one, and it doesn₂t cross our minds to wonder if the shamed person is okay or in ruins.

Ronson's voice makes it worth listening to
submitted by EJZ on July 21, 2018, 9:50am
I love listening to Ronson's books on tape because his style of writing translates very well to the spoken word, and he delivers it perfectly.
That said, this is definitely not his best work. The subject matter is fantastic but it never really seems to build or reach a conclusion.
Timely, important topic for our society to evaluate submitted by Cherrytreelane on August 12, 2018, 6:30pm Very interesting book with lots of current, personal detail from people with first hand experiences of social media shaming and it's impact on their lives.
