gorgeous natural history book! submitted by manz on August 28, 2015, 12:24pm This is a gorgeous natural history book for adults that features a ton of great information along with amazing illustrations. I plan to buy this as gifts for friends!
Fascinating submitted by willow on August 23, 2016, 9:44pm This little book by Julia Rothman -- and there are others too! -- has all sorts of information about the world in it: the weather, the solar system, plants, animals, rocks, all beautifully illustrated with drawings! It is as graphics heavy as a DK reference book for kids, but with warm, color drawings and a personal narrative instead of clinical photographs. It also is encouraging for those trying to keep a journal, or otherwise document anything at all in their own lives. This book is very personal and inspiring.
Beautiful AND educational submitted by zoe.dvh on June 25, 2017, 3:20pm The illustrations are beautiful and I also learned a lot from reading it. Go read it!
Interesting submitted by Avliss on August 6, 2017, 10:57pm A lovely marriage of information and illustrations - it's beautifully simple, and inspires the reader to begin paying more attention to the natural world around us.
Worth to read submitted by indhusuresh on July 22, 2019, 5:34pm Very Interesting book.
Good book for upper elementary/junior high students submitted by hiker15 on August 3, 2023, 9:13pm The illustrations are mostly sketches that are very well done. The explanations are accessible for kids - thus this is a great book to inspire kids to learn about specifics of the natural world.
