Foote on January 14, 2015, 1:02pm The show follows Leonardo da Vinci as he is implicated in the political schemes of the Medici and Pazzi families and their contrasting relationships with the Catholic Church. These events occur alongside Leonardo's quest to obtain the Book of Leaves as he finds himself entangled with a cult known as the Sons of Mithras.

Somewhere during this season... submitted by GJBarnett2 on June 29, 2016, 10:50pm this series morphed from Historical Fiction to Fantasy or perhaps Science Fiction. My interest has diminished. It remains to be seen whether I will watch Season 3.
