Great CN show submitted by asopijw65 on June 30, 2016, 9:38am A great show on cartoon network. I find the current seasons to be better than Adventure Time's current season. If you're a fan of that kind of series, you'll enjoy Steven Universe.

Adventure And Love submitted by Fevvers - STAR473 on July 1, 2016, 6:11pm Steven Universe is a truly wonderful show. It demonstrates the love and quirkiness in this particular nontraditional family, and has adventure, humor, character development, and escalating stakes along with well-paced world building. Steven is both a normal kid and an unusal one, and he greatly admires his three female superhero guardians. (Gems are an alien race that is actually genderless, but use female pronouns and share physical characteristics with female humans more than male humans.) Steven also has a good relationship with his father, even though he lives with the Crystal Gems.

It took me 2 or 3 episodes to get into it, but then I was absolutely charmed. And then quickly found it very absorbing and laudable. There are characters that are diverse in every way, and a great, gradually unfolding long story that is told well over the short episodes.

There's a lot of music featured in the show. There's also general themes about music and various art forms, and creativity in general.

I'm so glad this show can get people on board very quickly, and this is where you can start.
