Excellent submitted by jillian on June 12, 2015, 1:14pm One of those perfect British films that make you laugh and cry simultaneously.

LOVED this! submitted by mmckenzie on July 9, 2015, 2:56pm Definitely a story that is perfect for now. I am grateful for the making of this film.
I watch little indie films for the 'who knows what you'll get factor'. This did not disappoint. Yay! A perfect mix of good heart and sadness. Best part is that it's based on a true story.
I'd love to tell you more, but you need to watch it for yourself. Be sure to stick around for the end.

The bonus section is very interesting as there are interviews with the people the film is based on.

Nostalgic submitted by Janet on August 29, 2017, 1:27pm This is a good feel good movie. Very accurate portrayal of a true event. Pride is an excellent title because it makes you proud to be British

Favorite movie submitted by edb.blanchard on June 16, 2018, 4:10pm Each performance is spectacular and it is an excellent telling of a true story.

Amazing, Feel Good Movie - Five Stars submitted by Maria Maguire on July 3, 2018, 11:38pm This might be my all time favorite movie. Until you watch it, it's hard to understand how a movie about gay activists raising money for striking miners can be so entertaining. The beauty of this film is showing how these two different groups - young, mostly single, urban gays (and a lesbian) and older, mostly married, rural miners - come together.

All the characters are fun, and there are hilarious moments, awkward encounters, and touching scenes. Not that the whole movie is carefree, but the ending is so great that I watch this movie anytime I'm having a really bad day and need a pick me up.

Especially in today's political climate, when it seems like we are more divided than ever, this film shows how two very different groups can come together. The fact that it's based on a true story makes it even better, and I love that the ending includes an update on the lives of the true characters after the events of the film. Plus, it has a great soundtrack.

Great movie!!! submitted by Xris on October 24, 2019, 12:03am I love the intersectionality of this movie, how the LGBTQ+ community helped another oppressed group, the miners who were on strike. I'm glad this part of history is now preserved for others to see, and I'm going to encourage others to see it!
