Follows the lives of a group of doctors and nurses working in a London hospital, a world in which everything and everyone has their place. But underneath this veneer simmers a cauldron of lies and guilty secrets, driven by love, ambition and sex. Breathless opens in 1961, a time when Britain was on the brink of the '60s revolution, abortion is illegal and the contraceptive pill is only just available to married women.

Not worth the time. submitted by valentina on June 20, 2016, 11:02am Not worth even starting to watch it. There first season will be the only one, they gave up. The plot is very artificial and weak. They definitely try to replicate "Madmen" but are so far from its depth and talent. You always see the parallels and "Breathless" always lose. The ambience is not even that nostalgic. Overall, very poor.

Guilt and obligation submitted by mandevil on June 29, 2017, 9:08am Some good performances but overall lacking in any depth. We never get inside the main character. The people in this story go to great lengths to keep their secrets but since so much is under the surface we don't feel their pain, guilt, fear. Therefore it feels hollow.
