The dominant feeling is laid-back and ambient, and Deadmau5 often uses piano either as an intro or a base before the bulk of the beats come in. Some of the tracks jump out, having a harder edge, but the overall progression is decently coherent. The music has a lot of layers to it, and they're fun to discover.
