A Rom-Com That Centers Women submitted by Meginator on June 22, 2019, 10:38am This film's premise, which finds women teaming up to call men out on their bad behavior, is a strong one, and overall I think it succeeds in shaking up a lot of traditional rom-com storylines while still sitting comfortably within the genre. The actresses have excellent chemistry and partially make up for a script that too often goes for cheap, easy laughs. The romance needed more fleshing out, too. I was, however, surprised by how much I enjoyed this, and even if it does have some significant flaws I am glad to see Hollywood (however tentatively) take on stories like this one.
