New favorite dystopia submitted by KOH on August 4, 2017, 5:06pm It's like the Hunger Games with an extra helping of violence and ruthless betrayal, told from a male point of view. This was super compelling. I loved it.

Unique and well-written submitted by tayjayfo on July 20, 2019, 5:25pm This book is unique and wonderfully written. Some parts become a bit slow but the fast parts definitely make up for it.

Not worth getting into the series submitted by ferielp on July 23, 2021, 9:44am Poorly written, unoriginal male narrator who views himself as a savior of a damsel in distress, who could have been developed into a stronger character if the author was so inclined. I did not continue reading the series past this first book.

Dark Space Opera submitted by cpoconno on August 17, 2023, 11:09am Like a mix of Hunger Games and Game of Thrones. Great world building. Lots of characters to keep track of. Lots of mixing of good and evil motives and characters that aren't just one of the other. Lots of grey characters who you can empathize with some of the tension they feel.
