"This program contains graphic images from an accident scene that may be disturbing to some viewers."
"On the afternoon of July 26, 2009, Diane Schuler drove the wrong way on the Taconic State Parkway in New York for nearly two miles, eventually smashing into an SUV and killing herself, her daughter, three nieces, and all three people in the other car. Only her five-year-old son survived. Diane's autopsy revealed that she had consumed the equivalent of 10 shots of vodka and had smoked marijuana shortly before the accident. Yet by all accounts, Diane had no history of substance abuse or psychological problems, and was generally known to be a loving and stable wife and mother. ... Was Diane Schuler the monster the public made her out to be? Or was she the perfect wife and mother that so many who knew her said she was? This documentary searches for answers to an enduring and disturbing tragedy"--Container.

COMMUNITY REVIEWS

Compelling and Sad submitted by Beth Manuel on July 15, 2014, 10:52am I remember reading/hearing about this devastating accident so I was curious about the documentary. I thought that what is known of what happened is shown in riveting fashion, with as much footage from the day of the accident as could likely be included. I felt voyeuristic as documentaries sometimes make me feel, with a lot of unanswered questions about the driver's BAC and what caused her to do what she did. She had been vilified in public. The film gives a better understanding of the kind of person she was. Not a villain.

did not like submitted by Jackie77 on August 17, 2015, 12:36am Story doesnt fill in the blanks or answer any questions I had. In fact i have more now than before watching the film. I shouldnt have bothered with this one. I think she is guilty of murder.
