Personally aggravating submitted by terpsichore17 on June 14, 2020, 11:52am You know how, if you’re overweight, seeing a weight-loss video touted by already-skinny people can be infuriating?

I expected that Bright Bazaar would equip me to outfit my space. But apparently a brightly colored space is only for (a) people who own their own homes (not those renting a space with limitations on how they change it, (b) people with a fair amount of extra cash to put into furniture/etc., and (c) *aggressively* minimalist households.

I was annoyed by all the captions from Norwegian and Copenhagen homes - if the principles can be carried out anywhere, why does it matter that this particular home is in Norway or Denmark? - but more than that, I was annoyed by how remote a possibility this book made color seem. In my mind, it’s not enough to show the finished product of a brightly-colored home; I need to see the process. If you’re not already a person who gravitates toward color, how do you inculcate it?

Anyway. Taylor’s overly peppy tone also grated on me - not the book for me, that’s for sure!
