Game of Thrones Vol 2 submitted by Fevvers - STAR473 on August 6, 2015, 2:31am This graphic novel series of A Game of Thrones, the first book in George R. R. Martin's A Song of Ice And Fire, strives to adhere to the original novel as closely as possible. It succeeds mostly in the writing, so it is necessarily dense. The art is a mixed bag: most characters look far too much alike, having similar features and little to differentiate them, which is not good when there is such a huge cast. The storytelling does not make up for this weakness by using names or titles more often. There are also issues such as children looking the same as adults. But splash pages of a tourney or castle look pretty great, as do armor detailing and things of that nature.

There are some odd inconsistencies with character depictions as well versus the book descriptions (for example, Tyrion's mismatched eyes are depicted properly, but his hair is all perfectly blonde unlike in the novel).

Layouts are very straightforward. There are no innovations or risks taken. Ultimately, this loyalty is more to its detriment than its benefit; though fans who desire visual representation of the story may be happy just to see it done so thoroughly.

Game of Thrones Volume. 2 submitted by avrogers1 on July 12, 2019, 11:50am This is wonderfully done! The storyline from game thrones presented in a graphic Novel. Its an easy read and the art is great!

Better than HBO submitted by jucruz on July 13, 2019, 7:46pm Great series. The drawings are made with dedication. A lot of thought it put into being faithful to the original book plots.
