A documentary film about the silent concussion crisis in American sports. Athletes from the professional to youth levels share their experiences and struggles with the long-term effects of concussions from contact sports. Inspired by the evens from the book "Head Games" written by former Ivy League football player and WWE Wrestler Christopher Nowinski, the film contrasts evidence and science on head trauma from medical experts with first-hand accounts from athletes, coaches, and parents who tread the difficult balance between sports excellence and self-preservation.
DVD, region 1.
COMMUNITY REVIEWS
Insightful submitted by popsiclefroyo1 on June 19, 2014, 12:15pm This was a good documentary. It was quite insightful. I'd recommend it to any athlete, coach, or parent of an athlete. It shows you how concussions are truly defined and how sports perceive their own ideas of what a concussion is and how to deal with it.
