On leave from her FBI researcher career, Emmy Dockery tries to convince her boyfriend that hundreds of unsolved cases are linked to a single perpetrator.
"Everyone thinks Emmy Dockery is crazy. Obsessed with finding the link between hundreds of unsolved cases, Emmy has taken leave from her job as an FBI researcher. Now all she has are the newspaper clippings that wallpaper her bedroom, and her recurring nightmares of an all-consuming fire. Not even Emmy's ex-boyfriend, field agent Harrison "Books" Bookman, will believe her that hundreds of kidnappings, rapes, and murders are all connected. That is, until Emmy finds a piece of evidence he can't afford to ignore. More murders are reported by the day--and they're all inexplicable. No motives, no murder weapons, no suspects. Could one person really be responsible for these unthinkable crimes?" -- from publisher's web site.

Arson killer submitted by Jhopson on July 22, 2014, 4:16pm Emmy is "on leave" from the FBI following her twin sister's tragic death, and Emmy is the only one who believes it was murder. As she collects information from across the country she comes to believe that the fire was the work of a brilliant serial killer. As she works with a team including her ex-fiance, they try to get a step ahead of the killer. A pretty good Patterson novel with enough twists to keep you on your toes.

A page-turner submitted by GJBarnett2 on July 25, 2014, 7:46pm So many books come out so often under Patterson's name, with a co-author that it's hard to believe he has a significant part, other than lending his name and prestige but whoever actually wrote this one did a fine job.
