Lots of pictures submitted by aubrinmd on June 14, 2014, 1:20pm These sharks are very strange and very very ugly. I recommend this book, it had lots of information and pictures.
Pretty little babies submitted by Flying Sheep on June 18, 2014, 10:53am Goblin Sharks are not ugly or weird. They are unique little animals. This book had lots of information though, and is a nice read.
Good Book submitted by Ilyjtwya on June 19, 2014, 2:29am I recommend this book, if for no other reason than to see the incredible pictures. (They aren't as ugly in the water). It was unclear to me at first that most of the pictures were with the jaw extended. I was surprised to learn that so little about these sharks is still unknown.
Goblin Sharks submitted by JY 2005 on July 29, 2019, 4:08pm Very interesting creatures. They have lots of facts about them.
Goblin Sharks submitted by SBNB on July 27, 2021, 2:05pm This is an interesting book about a strange creature! One of the pictures of the shark makes it look like Mr. Burns from the Simpsons. Great resource for kids!
Good Facts, Not So Good Writing submitted by Meginator on August 20, 2021, 7:57pm This book contains a lot of useful information about the elusive goblin shark, but the presentation is so disjointed that the knowledge becomes somewhat difficult to actually digest. The simple sentence structure will work for a younger audience, but it is almost too simple at times given the nature of the information being discussed; the amount/type of detail provided feels at odds with the level of the prose, and the author often skips from one subject to the next with no transitions, even within paragraphs. I did learn some interesting facts about these odd creatures, and the photographs provide some useful visual context, but the simplicity and the lack of editorial attention to structure make this more difficult to read and parse than it should be.
