Textbook on the Mississippi River submitted by hiker15 on July 10, 2023, 9:21pm If you want to learn about the history of the Mississippi River - from its geological beginnings through native American usage through the British-French wars over it through the revolutionary war, civil war, Army Corps of Engineers, etc, etc - then this is the book for you. But be forewarned - - it reads like a textbook. Very dry. It takes alot to get through this book.
