Surfing submitted by jibkidder on June 14, 2022, 9:44am Warp's "Artificial Intelligence comp is a real defining document of the emerging trends in electronic music that came to be known as IDM, despite not really being any smarter than other electronic music, and AFX's "Polygon Window" album is probably the strongest of any of that early material, with the first couple of Autechre releases as close contenders. Love "If It Really Is Me"s toying with the Young & Restless theme! This tough and hypnotic music is the best from a very young Richard D James.
