I especially enjoy her comments about each of the teeny-tiny mochimochi. For example, the tiny Gnome "just returned from a trip to Nome, Alaska, where he was very disappointed not to find a G."

I've just entered the world of knitting, and stumbled upon Hrachovec's books when browsing the craft section at Mallet's Creek. The mochimochi toys are not only absolutely adorable, but also easy to make, even for beginners (like me). Hrachovec uses clear instructions, and helpful illustrations, to allow knitters of any level to enjoy these tiny creations.

I intended to make one...one!...for my daughter as a joke, and ended up with five for myself. Everyone who sees these is: 1) amazed that I made them myself, and 2)overcome with the cuteness.
