Misleading and incomplete submitted by Howard A. Smith on September 3, 2013, 11:36am If you've never visited Katmai National Park, then this video will definitely give you some sense of how the people and bear interactions are managed in the park. The makers of this video have apparently visited the park twice - once when the salmon were running (thirty years ago!) and once when the salmon weren't (the major portion of the film relating to the Park).

The makers of the video do mention Lake Clark National Park (for about a minute) and include one or two still images related to this park. But, to include this particular park in the title is, at best, misleading, since the videographers spend more time and images talking about other parks that they'll potentially cover in their "series" than they do Lake Clark!

It is obvious that the videographers much prefer the fishing on the Alaganak! They show themselves having a delightful time fly-fishing for salmon, greyling, and rainbow trout! They suggest one place to stay when visiting and even go so far to show the rooms!

I was familiar with Katmai but it was helpful to see the system that the park uses to manage visitors. However, I am only familiar with Lake Clark through more historical videos and was hoping to get some sense of that particular park. This video simply does not do that.
