From the manufacturer: This instrument is ideal for monitoring indoor air quality in crowded public spaces with potentially high levels of CO2 (carbon dioxide) such as offices, factories, classrooms, hospitals and hotels. The same measurement parameters can also be used to test air from HVAC equipment. Backlit simultaneous display of CO2 level, humidity and air temperature, or the user may choose a rotating display of dew point and wet bulb temperature instead of air temperature. Also calculates TWA (Time Weighted Average) and STEL (Short-Term Exposure Limit). Simple user calibration of CO2 and RH. Features audible CO2 threshold alarms, min/max/avg, hold and a computer interface.

Kind of cool submitted by crazypockets on August 30, 2013, 9:26pm This is a really nice idea, and it seemed easy enough to use. The only thing is I wish it had the instructions included with the tool because I wasn't sure exactly what I was supposed to be measuring. Also, it would be nice to have a comparison card so you could really see what your air levels were supposed to be compared to what they are, and it's not always easy to be online to read the manual.

wow submitted by mahmoud123 on June 17, 2018, 10:53pm nice to experiment with

Fun submitted by JY 2005 on August 26, 2018, 11:21am It was very fun to walk around watching the meter change;

Indoor Air Quality Meter submitted by Varshini on July 3, 2019, 4:00pm Great to walk around with this and observe how the numbers fluctuate.

Indoor Air Quality Meter. submitted by lstorc on July 18, 2019, 9:15pm This is a great tool. It seems accurate, but its hard to know when it was last calibrated

Yes submitted by maxence07 on June 15, 2020, 10:19pm Have not got this yet but I’m planning to

Not user friendly submitted by jmailing on April 11, 2021, 11:13am I was hoping it would be easier to use - I don't feel like it gave me any useful info, but I also wasn't interested in sitting down to read the manual extensively. Oh well!

Cool! submitted by bookher on June 17, 2021, 11:55am I had no idea the library had tools like this but this was really useful for me to check my air quality and confirm that it is all at healthy levels. Thanks AADL

Not for Gas stoves submitted by thomasrode on October 8, 2021, 6:54pm Hoped to measure gas stove with it, but it is insufficient for that

Useful submitted by Bhautama on January 14, 2022, 1:05pm Very useful to see how CO2 levels increase over minutes and longer in rooms. Especially noticeable in the winter with windows shut, it's easy to >1000 ppm with multiple people in a room over a period of time. Unexpectedly led me to put a lot of credence in the idea of going outside to get fresh air and open a window occasionally for the same reason inside. Goes in opposition to the idea of well-sealed houses in the interest of efficiency and energy reduction; I wasn't expecting to have that idea challenged. Creates a conflict there that I haven't decided how to manage. Maintaining CO2 <1000ppm in rooms where I spend a long time does seem to have had a noticeable effect on my winter sinus inflammation (and then headaches) issues.
One note, it would be nice if AADL also offered NO2 sensors since those can be really useful to understand how well-vented gas-fired appliances and furnaces are.

only measures CO2 submitted by apknapp on July 17, 2023, 9:36am Was hoping for a more general read of air quality, to see if our air purifier makes any difference.
