Based on a tale from the Brothers Grimm, this is the story of a beautiful young girl who spends her days toiling in the home of her cruel stepmother. A mishap at the well brings her to a magical land where apple trees talk and loaves of bread cry out when they are ready to be removed from the oven. This is the home of Frau Holle, whom the young girl agreeably helps with her chores.
