Take time to read this! submitted by clarke taylor on July 15, 2014, 7:32am I've been practicing meditation for several years and have read several books on the topic. This book definitely stands above the rest in giving me meaningful guidance on an often challenging endeavor. The author suggests ways to use your emotions as a tool to access your inner self, and in my experience this radical idea (as opposed to just emptying your mind) lends a real freedom to the process of meditation. Her key suggestion (in my interpretation) is to allow the emotion and to bring compassion to the emotion, but to drop the story associated with the emotion. With enough discipline and work we can grow to love ourselves at a deeper level.
