really, really terrible

This book is so aggressively pretentious that the author throws in "Atlas shrugged" in the middle of a sex scene for no reason. It also makes very little sense, especially if you only read it once (and it's so pretentiously awful that it's hard to). It's like Brian McGreevy was getting paid by the word, but also by how awful he could make sentences. It also has a pretty awful Netflix adaption, although there's a good amount of gratuitious violence/gore if that's what you're into.
Anyhow, despite all of these shortcomings, it's also one of my favorite books. I am very embarrassed to admit this much. Please read it, if only to laugh at its terribleness.
