Awesome submitted by seadocks on July 24, 2013, 6:58pm This is exactly what I was hoping it would be. It is like going to culinary school and I can do it at my own pace. I like how each lecture is only about 30 min. and easy to digest what you learn. I already have read a lot of stuff about cooking and have a pretty good idea about most of the stuff this dvd has covered so far (I am about 2/3 of the way done with it) and I have still learned quite a bit. The down side of the dvd is that I enjoy it enough to wish that I owned it so that my kids can watch it and learn to cook also, but I really do not have the budget to spend 500 dollars to get it, so I will enjoy it until the very last day before it is due back and then add my name to the request list to get it again. I really like Bill's attitude and clear speaking voice it makes it easy to understand what he is trying to explain. Great stuff for the beginner and at times I find myself wondering why they don't have more shows on Create that are more like these lectures. Anyway check it out i am sure you will like it, of course it looks like there are a lot of requests for it so it could be a year before it is your turn to check it out.

The Everyday Gourmet submitted by i'm a blobfish on June 27, 2019, 10:47pm If you learn by actually watching someone cook, you should rent this. The man in the videos has a nice demeanor and a clean voice. You can really learn a lot of new techniques from this DVD.
