enlightened season 1 disc 1

enlightened makes me wish i had hbo!

Criminally underrated

This series is fantastic. Well written and with an excellent cast. Laura Dern in the main role is inspired, possibly the best performance of her career. Do yourself a favor and check this series out!

"Enlightened" is a truly great series. Mike White is an amazing writer, and a few scenes in the first season actually brought tears to my eye, in a good way. The series is by turns funny, sad, crazy, and inspiring. White is an expert at portraying those socially awkward interactions that make you cringe, but also make you say "awwww". I'm sad that the series was cancelled after the second season, but glad that we have a show like this at all. It absolutely deserves to be checked out. Just watch a half hour and you'll be hooked.
