My fave film of 2013 submitted by irenzero on July 1, 2013, 2:03pm Zero Dark Thirty tells the story of the CIA hunt for and assassination of Osama Bin Laden via the story of the investigation they way it may have happened. Starting with small scraps of info, the film slowly builds these bits of info one by one, over years to put the puzzle together. The film shows the the wrong turns that are taken before the CIA finds Bin Laden. Great turns by the whole cast but of course Jessica Chastain (Veronica Mars S 1) anchors the film for the first 2 hours before handing it over to the a SEAL team to finish the job. The last part of the film is the raid that took out Bin Laden, and it's a exciting and well executed operation that shows the SEALS as professional doing their job and avoids the Clichés of the action/ war films that we have seen over the years.

Zero Dark Thirty submitted by lstorc on July 18, 2019, 8:54pm While there are some slow and gruesome parts, this was well done. It's respectful to the true story that inspired. The acting is fantastic.
